* [T/N] 薄い is literally thin/light/dilute, etc. When you use it like 彼は情が薄い (His feelings are thin)= He’s heartless. It can also refer to someone of a lower social status or position. So I used “lowly” because I think the reference here was when he was taking the war not too seriously in the beginning (I think he was talking about doing so good, he’d be Hokage) and his sister chastised him for it.
